The press secretary of the President of Russia, Dmitry Peskov, called the statements of the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, Alexey Danilov, about a possible strike on the Crimean Bridge “announcing a terrorist attack,” and stated that it requires a legal assessment and subsequent punishment.
Yesterday, on April 21, the information appeared that the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, Danilov, on the air of the NV radio, when asked whether Ukraine could strike the Crimean Bridge, replied that if Ukraine had the opportunity to do it, this would have already been done.
“If there is an opportunity to do this, we will definitely do it,” Danilov promised.
To this, Kremlin replied with the warning that such a statement is a threat of a possible terrorist attack.
“Such a statement is nothing more than an announcement of a possible terrorist act. This is unacceptable, there are many signs of acts that are subject to legal verification with subsequent punishment,” Peskov said.
At the same time, he assured that all necessary security measures and precautions are provided around the bridge and all such strategic facilities through the relevant services.
In turn, the Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of the Russian Federation, Dmitry Medvedev, threatened Ukraine with a response in case of a strike on the Crimean Bridge.
“One of the doped Ukrainian bosses said about the need to strike at the Crimean Bridge. I hope he understands what will be a retaliatory target,” Medvedev warned.
