The number of unemployed in Tatarstan since the beginning of 2021 has decreased by 13,012 people and amounted to 25,639 people (a decrease of 33.67 per cent), TASS reports with reference to the Deputy Minister of Labour, Employment and Social Protection of the Republic Klara Tazetdinova.
“As of April 9 this year, the number of unemployed amounted to 25,639 people (a decrease in comparison with January 1, 2021, by 13,012 people). The level of registered unemployment amounted to 1.27 per cent of the labour force,” Tazetdinova said.
The average duration of unemployment in the republic, according to the Deputy Minister, is 4.84 months. It is specified that the duration of the unemployment period is lower than the national average among young people aged 16 to 29 years (4.51 months), rural residents (3.96 months), and residents of single-industry cities (4.51 months). The duration of the period of unemployment is higher than the national average among the disabled (4.88 months) and women (4.89 months).
It is also noted that the demand for personnel declared to the employment service of the republic is 48.6 thousand, of which 12.6 thousand vacancies are in the construction sector, 7.9 thousand vacancies in manufacturing, and 5.3 thousand in public administration and military security, as well as social security sector.
