Residents of the Kuibyshevsky district of Novosibirsk sewed a panel of scraps with images of national ornaments. About 100 people used more than 60 items to create an original handmade canvas, VN.ru reports.
In total, about 30 nationalities live on the territory of the Kuibyshevsky district. Most of them are Russians, Tatars, Germans, Ukrainians, Kazakhs, Azerbaijanis, Georgians, Uzbeks, Belarusians, Poles, Chuvash, Mari, Udmurts, Latvians, Estonians, and others. It is also noted that there are four national cultural centres in the district, namely Tatar, German, Ukrainian, and Cossack ones. The participants of the events organized by these centres pay attention to the revival and development of traditions, customs of peoples, and their languages.
