The Deputy Mayor added that the Moscow City Duma approved a proposal to introduce an experimental legal regime in the Russian capital for testing unmanned taxis.

“It should be understood that there will be no boom of ‘drones’ in the near future, but we believe that urban transport can become a booster in this direction,” Liksutov said.

The Deputy Mayor also said that the tests of the unmanned tram will start in Moscow in 2022. Liksutov specified that by the end of this year or the beginning of the next one it can start working in test mode.

“This year we will start testing, first at the depot, then at night. When we are sure – with passengers,” he said.
