The South Urals fishermen caught a huge fish. He turned it back into the water almost immediately. This species is listed in the Red Book, cheltv.ru reports.
A man caught a very large fish, taimen, from an ice hole. Instead of taking it home, he turned it back to the hole after a couple of photos.
Taimen is the strongest freshwater fish in the salmon family. People call it “the owner of a river” or “river tiger.” An adult can reach up to 1.5 meters in length and weigh up to 60 kilograms. It is included in the international Red Book and is classified as vulnerable. The capture of Red Book individuals is punishable by law.
