In Kazan, open days will be held at sports schools until the end of September. During this period, more than 100 various events will be held in order to increase the number of pupils in sports institutions.
“Sports schools will present their achievements, introduce them to outstanding athletes from Kazan. Young athletes will demonstrate their skills at demonstration performances, which will leave a lot of impressions for children,” the Chairman of the Committee for Children and Youth Affairs, Albert Salikhov, said.
It is noted that with the beginning of the new academic year, 29 new municipal and 11 republican sports schools opened their doors in Kazan, in which 58 sports are developing. This year, new Olympic sports departments have opened in rock climbing, beach volleyball, and 3×3 basketball. It is specified that more than 3.5 million children and adolescents will become pupils of Kazan sports schools, the biggest demand in which is usually recorded in football, swimming, hockey, and rhythmic gymnastics.
