A prototype of virtual reality glasses (VR) for cattle was tested at a livestock farm in the Moscow region.
As the publication clarifies concerning the regional Ministry of Agriculture, in this way they try to improve the conditions of animals.
“Based on numerous studies of cattle’s vision, showing cows better perception of the shades of the red part of the spectrum and weaker – of green and blue tones, the architects of virtual reality also created a unique program for simulating a summer field,” the Ministry of Agriculture explained.
According to the developers, VR-glasses can improve the emotional state of animals, which will help to increase the quantity and quality of milk.
The first tests showed a decrease in anxiety and an increase in the overall emotional mood in cows. Studies will continue, if the positive trend continues, the novelty will be widely distributed.
