The authorities of Yakutia within the framework of the “Demography” national project will allocate about 5 billion rubles for payments to families with children, which is 1.4 times more than last year, according to the press service of the Ministry of Labour and Social Development of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia).
Earlier payments were received by families with children up to one and a half years old, now the age of children can be up to three years. It is noted that last year, almost 13 thousand families received such payments, and this year it is planned to cover 16 thousand. In addition, the birth rate in Yakutia has increased for the first time in six years.
It is specified that in 2020, 12,957 children were born in the republic, which is 138 more than in 2019. The share of first-borns in the total number of births is 28.4 per cent, the share of second children is 31.9 per cent, the share of third and subsequent children is 39.5 per cent. Thus, 5,120 third and subsequent children were born there, which is 457 more than in the previous year.
