The “PRO Future” forum on the development and application of space technologies, organized by the Russian society “Znanie” (“Knowledge”), started in the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug, where more than 30 speeches are expected to be given to 150 Yamal students.
The forum is organized within the framework of the federal educational project “Smart Route” and takes place from October 28 to October 29 at the site of the Yamal Multidisciplinary College. The event is attended by 12 speakers and 150 students from different educational institutions of Yamal, who in total present 34 speeches, including interactive lectures by leading scientists and popularizers of science specializing in space.
“At the forum of the Znanie Society, we show how it is possible to establish cooperation between science, educational institutions, and business,” the Deputy Director of the Department of Education of the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous District, Chairman of the regional branch of the ‘Znanie’ Society Yana Vesova said.
In particular, the forum participants will discuss how space technologies help to ensure food security in the country and reduce the risk of natural disasters, how they are used in healthcare, how to prevent humanitarian crises, and how to manage natural resources and the environment.
