Yekaterinburg Programmers Developed Moscow Metro Map

Yekaterinburg programmers won an international hackathon for the development of an interactive map module for the Moscow metro, e1 reports. For this, they received an award of 1,000,000 rubles from the mayor of Moscow Sergey Sobyanin.

For 48 hours, Yekaterinburg residents from the YetiCrab team proposed solutions to the problem for the Moscow Transport Department, for which they were recognized as the best of more than 250 participating teams from around the world.

The team members, Artyom Kuzvesov, Dmitry Mezenin, Nikita Pyankov, Nikita Nuikin, and Alexander Chernyshev have developed a module that allows adding an interactive metro module to the official Mostransport mobile application for iOS and Android. It is specified that the module includes user interaction with the map, viewing information about stations, and building optimal routes without using the Internet.
